Head spa
What happens in a head spa ritual?
Every ritual starts with a double-cleanse scalp ritual and head massage. Longer rituals add more on top: a hydrating sheet mask or 24K gold mask, hot stones for the neck and shoulders, a LightStim red light finish, a foot ritual, and tea (or champagne) served tableside.
How do I choose between the rituals?
Mostly by how long you would like to stay. Signature Restore is 60 minutes, Royal Radiant 90, Aurora Crown 120, and Aurora Ultimate 130 with the full foot spa chair.
If your main goal is your scalp and hair rather than relaxation, look at Peptide Density or EXO-Grow Ultra Infusion, 80 minutes each.
Can I walk in?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome 11 AM to 5 PM daily, depending on availability. To be sure of your time, book online (9 AM to 7 PM daily) or call or text us.
Can I have a neuromodulator treatment and a head spa ritual on the same day?
Yes, as long as the head spa comes first. After neuromodulator injections you need to stay upright for four hours, avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area for four to six hours, and skip facials for a week. Book the ritual before your injections, or wait a week afterwards.
Aesthetics
Do I need a consultation first?
For a first visit, yes. Many treatments have health or skin-type considerations, and a consultation is where we check them. If you are a candidate for a neuromodulator, treatment can often happen at the same appointment.
I don't know which treatment I want. Is that a problem?
Not at all. It is the most common way people arrive. Bring the thing that bothers you, not a product name, and we will explain the options and the trade-offs.
How much downtime should I expect?
It depends on the treatment. Neuromodulators and AQUAFIRMExs usually need none. Microneedling usually means 24 to 48 hours of redness, and deeper laser resurfacing can take several days. Your plan sets this out before you book.
Do you treat all skin tones?
Yes. Not every device suits every skin tone, so we match the technology and settings to your skin type, and for some concerns we will recommend a different treatment rather than risk pigment changes.
Can I combine treatments?
Often, yes, and some concerns respond best to a combination. We will sequence them so each one has time to work and your skin has time to recover.
Who plans my treatment?
Aesthetic care at Aurora MD is directed by two fellowship-trained neurologists. Dr. Christina Nguyen is a board-certified, fellowship-trained neuromuscular specialist, and Dr. Camana is a fellowship-trained clinical neurophysiologist. Most of aesthetic medicine happens where nerves, muscles and skin meet, and that is the anatomy they know best.
