Stop shaving. Start planning around something else.
Laser hair reduction uses focused light to target the pigment in your hair follicle, heating it enough to slow and eventually stop regrowth. It is one of the most predictable treatments we offer — but only if the device is matched to your skin, and only if you finish the series.
6–8 sessions
Hair grows in cycles, and the laser only affects follicles in their active phase. That is why one session is never enough.
4–8 weeks apart
Face is treated on a shorter interval than body, because facial hair cycles faster.
All skin tones
We treat Fitzpatrick I–VI. Darker skin requires different settings, not a different answer.
The device: Alpha Pro
We treat with Alpha Pro, an FDA-cleared platform distributed by Aesthetic Management Partners. Its 808nm diode laser is the workhorse for hair reduction — the wavelength penetrates to follicle depth while its PowerMotion delivery lets us move steadily over an area rather than stamping pulse by pulse.
MILO melanin meter
Before treating, we measure your actual melanin level rather than estimating it by eye. Settings are then built around that reading. This is the single most important safety feature for anyone with medium or deep skin, where guessing is how burns and dark marks happen.
Golden Touch cooling
Integrated contact cooling chills the skin surface at the moment of the pulse. It protects the epidermis and makes the session far more comfortable — most people describe a warm snap rather than pain.
What to expect
Consultation and test patch
We review your history, medications, and goals, take a MILO reading, and place a small test area. You will typically wait a short period before we treat fully, so we can confirm how your skin responds.
Your session
You will wear protective eyewear. Small areas like the upper lip take a few minutes; large areas like full legs or back take longer. Most people return to their day immediately.
The next two weeks
Treated hairs push out and shed. This looks like regrowth and is often mistaken for the treatment not working — it is the opposite. Let them fall out on their own.
Across the series
Density drops progressively, and what regrows tends to come back finer and lighter. Most people are largely clear after the series, with occasional maintenance once or twice a year.

Before and after your appointment
Before
- Shave the area 12–24 hours before — the laser needs the follicle, not the surface hair
- Do not wax, pluck, thread, or use depilatory creams for 4 weeks beforehand
- Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanner for at least 2 weeks
- Pause retinoids and strong exfoliants for about 5 days
- Arrive with clean skin — no makeup, lotion, or deodorant on the area
- Tell us about any medications, recent isotretinoin, cold sore history, or possible pregnancy
After
- Redness and slight bumpiness around the follicles is normal for 24–48 hours
- Cool compresses help; skip hot showers, sauna, and heavy exercise for 24 hours
- Daily SPF 30 or higher on treated skin, especially the face, neck, and chest
- Hold off on retinoids and exfoliants for 3–5 days
- Shaving between sessions is fine — waxing and plucking are not
- Call us if you see blistering, or redness that is worsening rather than settling
These are general guidelines. Your provider's specific instructions always take priority, and we will give you written aftercare at your appointment.
Is it right for you?
Laser hair reduction works by targeting pigment, so it performs best on hair with pigment in it. Dark hair responds well across every skin tone. Grey, white, and very fine blonde or red hair have little to no pigment for the laser to find, and results are limited — we will tell you that honestly at consultation rather than sell you a series that cannot deliver.
Certain medications, recent isotretinoin use, active infection in the area, and pregnancy may mean waiting or choosing a different approach. Some patterns of unwanted hair growth have an underlying hormonal cause worth investigating alongside treatment. Bring all of it to your consultation.
Book a consultation
Every plan starts with a conversation, a melanin reading, and a test patch. We will tell you how many sessions your hair and skin realistically need before you commit to anything.
Book a ConsultationIndividual results vary. Laser hair reduction produces long-term reduction in hair growth rather than permanent removal of every hair, and maintenance sessions are typically needed. Suitability is confirmed at consultation and matched to your individual skin type.
